Gosi Status - The Japanese Samurai Clan

The yamauchi clan changed the golshi system once again and embraced something that many other domains around japan were doing. They started selling status as a golshi, and therefore a member of the murai class, to any one who was interested. The only restrictions were around families with convicted criminals among their number. And so every so often, tosa would announce a new round of sale of goshi status to develop some such plot of land or another. Any one with the money and talent was welcome to apply.
