The Fed Gives It From the Fed, Take It Away to Some Degree
The Fed really gave the last arguably decade is an environment that only favored a select group of mega caps stocks. When small caps started to roll over meaning underperform large cap equities, everything really broke in terms of co movements relative to the S&P when you went full on zero interest rate policy. Now rates are higher. Maybe now the dynamic breaks. That makes it a lot easier to beat the S&p then from portfolio management perspective.
