The Silverman lawsuit that she's joining has a pretty narrow claim, which is they say that the text database that the large language models are scraping includes another database that was partially pirated. I think there's a fear that if it takes too long, then the like AIs will create facts on the ground or it'll be too late to roll this back. Yeah, it will become sentience. Based off reading Sarah Sullivan's book about being herself, that'll be the thing that it pushes into super intelligence.
