John Avlon: Xi Jinping has been upfront with this in terms of his description of the dual circulation economy. And what he's basically saying is, hey, we don't need you anymore. He wants us to be wholly dependent on China for critical supply chains. So I think that these actions were necessary based on the nature of China's authoritarian mercantilist model and how they've weaponized it against us. The West United States wouldn't need your technology because they stole it, right? They stole it or they incentivized Americans who were useful idiots under the 1000 talents program.
