The Importance of the Middle Ages to Western Esotericism

The most important place in the Middle Ages, where we'll be spending quite a lot of time, is of course the Islamic world. It's impossible to overemphasize the importance of Islamicate learning on the development of Europe as she began to emerge from the Middle Ages.
