The boy was a first grade student at linrcides elementary school in tucson. He had hot water burns on 15 % of his body, including on his forearms, elbows and head. The exorcist is required to use the prescribed rites that the church has authorized for casting out demons. These do not involve physical torture or the infliction of pain at all in an attempt to expel a demon.
