How to Detect Neutrinos Effectively

In the 1980s, in the middle of the Cold War, there was a way to detect where all the neutrino submarines are. But it turns out that method of detecting neutrinos won't work, or at least it doesn't work at a practical level. There are actually three kinds of neutrinos and six different types of anti-particles. And they turn into muon neutrinos at a small rate on the Earth's surface. They have very tiny maths behind them - so you don't really know what is going on with them.
