Is There Such a Thing as Advanced Intellectual Empathy?
I'm still struggling with it, how to put this together. Because if we just offer up our own thoughts about something and they don't change like Carl Rogers advocated for spontaneously, then what do we do? Do we resort then to manipulations? Or is there such a thing as advanced intellectual empathy where we're actually helping take them beyond where they're thinking in their thought processes? It's a way of sort of juggling that balance. I thought pretty much that the elephant, that's why I call the elephant, the writer is because the elephant was much more powerful than the writer, but the writer had some control.
