The Holy Grail - A Movie Review
The grail first shows up in a sort of vision in the sky just after arthur and his knights have approached camelot. So it's almost made explicit that the grail itself only matters as a sort of arbitrary target forthe to pursue. The entire movie, i think, can be seen is a kind of existentialist reading of the whole holy grail quest.
