The Importance of a Linux Real-Time Kernel

There are definitely applications where real-time would matter more, I suppose. It's never really been necessary for what we do. You get glitches in the audio stream that could be one area where maybe a low latency kernel would help. But there's probably other settings you can configure like having, you know, adding more latency to the system so that doesn't allow it.
