The Illusion of Consciousness

I was partly responsible for what's now called illusionism. The idea that phenomenal experiences are illusions. I said, maybe being conscious is like looking at the real impossible triangle. Richard Gregory invented a real object which if you look at it just from the right position, appears to be an impossible triangle. These phenomenal experiences are, I think, real. And I don't see any reason to try and, demerte them by calling them illusions. Partly it's politically a bad idea because people will think you don't understand what consciousness is.
