Is She Getting the Help She Needs?
She was looking at 65 years in an adult women's prison that had a 200 name waitlist for anger management programs. Instead, she's at Winnebago Mental Health Institute, which is one of the only kinds of public psychiatric hospitals we still have. In a hospital, it's not up to the hospital if she leaves. It's up to the elected judge whether she leaves and she was sentenced to 40 years. She will probably never get out.
