How to Mummify in Ancient Egypt
CNN's Jim Boulden explains the process of mummification in ancient Egypt. The body donor as we call them is called a "cadaver" and it takes about two weeks to get him ready, he says. He uses tools that look just like those used by Egyptian embalmers but with volcanic glass instead of obsidian for making sharp cuts. They'll end up using some kind of alcohol which warps internal organs so you can use beer rather than water.
