How Did the Environment Change Over Time?

I would imagine then people are voting with their feet, because that's what a lot of people ra do in this situation where folks look up and say, kno, my parent, i've got a family. I know so many friends, so many friends of mine the middle class are doing that. The problem though, besides the fact that it leaves the city to be an even bigger dump, is that people in lower soci economic stratus can't leave because they don't have the money to leave. Then they're stuck with the violence and the gangs and the drugs and the filth and the trash and the incivility and devisiveness. So it really screws over people
