The Refusal of Sexuality as Inconsistency of the Discourse
The birth of psychoanalysis was a kind of birth out of the spirit of his territorial question and of disrefusion precisely of satisfaction. So to repeat, intrinsic inconsistency of sexuality as inconsistency of the discursive order doesn't run with non-satisfaction. It rather rhymes with this kind of a surplus satisfaction with the fact that it is difficult even impossible to escape some form of satisfaction - which is finally true also for the hysterics. The refusal or incapacity to enjoy can be a kind of unconscious objection of consciousness if one can put it like this,. A kind of protest against precisely a certain systemic violence at work, not simply in sexuality, but in all kinds of social formations.
