The Inshitification of TikTok
Wired's Corey Doctorow recently wrote an essay about the inshitification of ad-based platforms. He argues that most successful advertising based companies offer revolutionary services initially and then start compromising those experiences with customers when it's time to make money. And at that point, he says, they become terrible for both users and advertisers or in Amazon's case, like third party sellers.
