How to Receive the Eucharist Everyday
Every time we receive the eucharist, we are further strengthened in goodness. Our venial sins are forgiven. We are protected from sin and the devil which would hinder us on our way. Saint thomas understands that during certain periods in the church s history it can be useful to regulate how often the faithful receive communion but he clearly thinks that the ideal is to receive every day. He says, this sacrament is spiritual food.
