Is That What You're Saying?

I get the sense you're saying something generational here. In a way, you're speaking about your own generation that maybe had some pretty lukewarm, o or suspicious attitudes to american power. But i'm also thinking too, about a younger generation that din have much of a memory of nine 11 and what their own positions on us will be. And this might be their formative moment. That could have an effect on, say, left more broadly,. certainly the democratic party which has always, at least in my memory, had a kind of ambivoence about how much to rely on hard power.
