I remember hearing in a presentation by one of my students at school once, like this really clever guy who did this presentation about the effects of social media. He said that don't do anything in your life that you wouldn't be happy being posted onto YouTube. And it's quite a scary idea because it means that we now are in a situation where anything we do might end up on YouTube. You can't really control what goes up anymore, which I think is a, it's awful. So, and, and that you have to now live with that in mind - even when you think you're just doing something in private or you're just out in public doing something."
The second part of my conversation with my friend Moz, this time covering subjects such as podcasting vs YouTube, bathing naked in a Japanese spa, sharing personal information online (like a story of bathing naked in a Japanese spa), the role of artificial intelligence & social media, murdering mosquitoes and meeting a crack addict on the streets of London. Vocabulary list and quiz available.
