Langon says that normality is the abdication of ecstasy. To be a self means to it's fundamentally repressive, and freud could quite easily say anal retentive. The economy of secrecy that forms selfod the customs, the practice of selfhood. It seems to ground the very ontological notions of insecurity. Some people can't do this. Some people struggle to hold secrets. Om people don't have haven't got the haven't been accustomed to being a self. And so they have ecstatic moments. They get out of themselves. They divide themselves into pasonas or althes in ways that aren't customary. This comes into the idea of sanity as being tested
