SaaS Companies - Is Increased Focus on Efficiency at the Cost of Productivity?
On a per employee basis for most SaaS companies, somewhere between 60 and 75% of your costs will be personnel related. As you'll see here right around that $100 million ARR mark is where we see these begin to flip in relationship. By year five, companies are typically adding 50 million net new ARR and burning about 50 million. So the real number here that we typically see is 2X burn rate multiple.
