The Deception of the Romans

I think the disconnect, of course, is the high concepts. The greater glory of Rome, right, is the act of conquest. It is the expansion of the empire. And so in the Roman mind, like what a man should be doing in society is proving his energy and we're toose. That's where we get our word virtue. But for the Romans, you know, the guy that goes out in his war and mashes up those people over there and expands the Romans say he has contributed to the greater glory Of Rome.
