Why Is It So Hard to Find Housing in Berkeley?
Francis dinglespeel is a reporter and co founder of berkeleyside. Starting around two thousand and seven, the board of regents told berkeley it needed to increase the number of students attending the university. So as more students came to town, they had to look for housing in the city. And that has led to displacement of some residence in berkeley. Of course, the rents have gone up and up and up, and currently, you know, it's very expensive to live in ber Berkeley.
