Flint's Water Crisis
The city of Flint switched its water supply from Detroit to the Flint River in August 2014. The switch was hailed by emergency manager Darnell Early, who called it the best choice for Flint going forward. But less than a week after the switch, people started getting sick with mysterious rashes on their bodies and other unexplained illnesses. Residents were told they could safely resume drinking the water just four days later.
