Dependence and Friendships

A man who has a wife and children ends up with a much bigger social circle than a single man alone. A society is necessary for the functions that a group of people need, whether it's roads and sewers or art galleries and museums. Those societies function best when they are made up of family units inside of them. You don't have to focus on being independent of everybody all the time. Some measure of dependence, either on him or also on those around us can go a long way.
