Is It Too Bad That Everything Goes the Way It Did?
I feel like we sort of lost out on what it would have been like to see the two of them, you know, separate and come back together. It's really a tragedy for poetry that everything went the way it did. The question that i had that propelled me through thewriting of this book was how did sylvia plast become the writer that she became? That was the thing i wanted to answer. Of course, i i knew i needed to address all this because she did suffer from severe depression. Depression killed her. I didn't want to pretend nothin had happened. Obviously, her whitewash.
