Filming in a Small Studio, I Loved That.
The first season was filmed on a sound stage in the middle of culver city. The set that we built was modelled on the crappy offices where the writers were working. Gregg would have us do these drills where he would go like, ok, take half an hour and sit at pam's desk or what will be michael's office. And i remember hating it, cause it was like, i i was far away from everything and all this. It was really like we had to embody the characters and understand them emotionally and and socially in a way that i think led to great episodes.
