The Probabilistic Model of the Most Probable Next Word
Chat GPT uses a thing called a language model. A language model is in effect purely a probabilistic model for what word should come next given some previous context. The base model with the brain that drives the experience that you receive when you log on to chat GPT. There's two variants. There's GPT 3.5 and there's GPT 4. They're both different versions of alanguage model. We don't know what data was used to train either of them. And just as a just in terms of scale, the amount of data is unfathomable. It's truly colossal in either case.
