The Illusion of Individuality
The world is just a meaningless bunch of becoming and destruction, says the philosopher. He also took over from Schopenhauer that individuality itself was an illusion. After writing Birth of Tragedy he became utterly disenchanted with Wagner. His views about art changed as he grew older in his later years.
