Is Oxygen a Catalyst in Particle Physics?
The first experiment that started to understand what are these atoms made of? This was the JJ Thompson experiment. He created basically a modern day cat. It's not modern at all, but it's a cathode ray tube. And then you start studying matter as in like hard stuff and then you also start studying fluids. Then you start discovering things like the ideal gas law, which reflects a lot about the particles that make up that gas. The rise of experimental physics back in the days when people wouldn't actually do experiments on particles with just your hands.
