The Dynamics of Machine Learning in Biology
The dynamics of doing machine learning in biology is different from most other like machine learning applications or machine learning research areas. It takes a long time for someone that hasn't studied it for a while to just understand the data and understand all the different biases in the data. So I think this first feature is you really need to embrace the biology fully and you can't really abstract away things too much. And the second, I think very distinctive feature is that you really needs to work very closely with the biologists throughout the process because the data types are always changing.
