Is There a Lack of Accountability in the PGMOL?
One of the, one of the continued complaints about the PGMOL is that there appears to be little accountability. A high profile referee makes a mistake in a big game at Premier League level. And then there's sort of, you know, left on the sideline maybe for a couple of weeks if the mistakes are egregious enough. The trouble I guess for the referees is if they really hang someone out to dry, how do they ever rehabilitate them? Do you know what I mean? "There is definitely an issue around quality and availability of high standard referees," he says.
