Caribou and the Lake Superior Basin
Langton: The entire lake superior, upper great lake's caribou herd was down to about 18 individuals. They had gone out to the island for refugea from growing wolf populations. A group of caribou advocates felt that a lot of environmental groups were like, wod, you can't hurt the wolves. If they're trapped with wolves, that's life. Langton: Some biologists and managers within the puckasaw national park on lake superior did not want to invest time and effort into moving this population around. We'll just let em extirpated.
