The Power and Beauty of Being Small
The model of a VC is to take management fees and to take carry. If you're taking management fees, it is a percentage of your AUM that has to pay the bills. And so if you decrease, you cannot increase your team subject to what you can live off of. I think that's the catch 22. You then keep the team small, right? But there's two things I like about this model. One is that I can sit in front of investors and tell them, if I make you money, I make money. That also means they allow me to do many more things because there's that alignment of interest. So let's see how it evolves. The idea here
