Michael Gerber: The franchise model takes the lead gen in most cases for you, gives you a system for lead conversion and then you're deploying the fulfillment piece of the business based on something that's tried and true. When he opened his first wingstop restaurant, opening week at one of these little 1400 square foot wing stops was about five grand. That was it, just pitiful. By the time I got to store number four, it was over 33,000 opening week and you couldn't even get in the building.
