The Spread Matters

Only two times over the last 34 have been have the spread matter. So why is this happening so much now? Is it a fluke? Is it the playoffs themselves? What do you think? I think it's a little flukey that's so extreme, but I think that there is a systematic difference such that when a team is up six, seven, eight points in the fourth quarter, they go for blood.
