The Conflict of Religions Within a Society

The key move he makes is that he removes from the state the possibility of its being the embodiment and judge of religious truth. He did have a pragmatic argument about why we shouldn't persecute somebody for their beliefs as well. But I think that Locke provided the most sophisticated and coherent theoretical account of it from inside Christianity.
