Bridgtown - What's the Pressure to Assimilate?

Rommel: I think coming from my culture which is very warm, very friendly, very outgoing. Sometimes I would try to approach people and like very warmly and just welcoming and sometimes I will feel this wall that tells me slow down dude. Whereas back in the DR you met a stranger in your best friends the next day. So it's just a different code. What a great example of the pressure to assimilate where it's not just wanting to fit in but not wanting to be considered weird or like aggressive just because you come from a culture that's warm and friendly. That's not something that's typically experienced very much here.
