This is a story about peter and his journey of apprenticeship to jesus. Jesus said, feed my sheep very truly, i tell you, and pay attention to this. When you were younger, you dressed yourself and went where you wanted. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands and some one else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go. That is a nod to what church history tells us was peter's death by upside down crucifixion at the hands of rome.
