Are You Trying to Remain Free?

I don't get the sense that this is kind of a conservative argument for a return to forms of traditionalism and set identitarian roles. What you really see with Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill and all these kind of films is the slacker or the owner becoming almost kind of counterintuitively a hero or revolutionary against the system. They want to just earn enough money to be able to sit at home play video games, hang out with their friends, and form a little perunuity based on smoking weed and have a good time that way. And I do think that they reflect an enemy on the part certainly of American society about how much pressure is allocated to our lives alongside the new kinds
