In Europe, baby drops are common in many countries. They're especially common in Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. Many of them would have religious objections against any other option besides abandoning the baby. In Central Europe, these are largely going to be used by young immigrant women who are vulnerable for the same reasons.
