The Implications of Machine Learning for Social Welfare

Some of the more confident predictions were just blown out of the water we're seeing now. We know that even if jobs are created on net certain people who have high value occupations will see their whole livelihoods devalued. And so we've got to sort of prepare for those disruptions and I think one way to prepare is to have, you know, a better welfare state.
