Imanis Interesting, Isn't It an Inevitability?
i think there was an inevitability to the united states taking its mission, taking manifest destiny abroad. It really took from 18 98 to 19 forty one for americans to become comfortable with entanglement in global politics. i think roosevelt's magic is he marris the realism of mc kinley with the idealism of wilson. He creates liberal internationalism, power and partnership together as a formula that convinces Americans to take their mission abroad. Imanis interesting, isn't after the first world war, woodray wilson tries to put in place a system of some of world governance. The americans much more successfully do the same thing after the the second world war.
