In the 1980s, I worked at the Center for Army Leadership at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Research indicated that people high in psychological hardiness differed from people with low psychological hardness. Most people who study resilience agree on three common factors: Flexibility, adaptability and determination. As opposed to burning yourself out beating against your head against the wall, you can use this acronym "resilience" It's a little counterintuitive but it really does work.
