Is There a Sense of Human Nature?
Mentus is a way of pushing back against some ofte, as you put it, grim a butlery and a pessimism about social structures and human subject. So maybe later philosophers in confucian tradition who are drawing on mentus in contrast to schunze, would be another set of resources,. because f their optimism about human nature isn't just sunny Optimistic reading of obensius is to say that humans aren't good at building societies. But we're good at the techniques appearing together as a society, as a body politic, we spontaneously do that. And that, ithink, is consistent with this idea that one tor relations are comprehensive.
