The Problem With Aramaic Grammar in Pahlavi Texts
The original Aramaic alphabet of 22 letters has been reduced to 12, meaning that a single mark may refer to three or four other sounds. A huge percent of any Pahlavi text is going to be Aramaic words with middle Persian grammar hanging off them. There's reason to believe these were just pronounced as the middle Persian word, but they're spelled in Aramaic.
