The Supreme Court upheld a censorship campaign, but they are. Nixon's use of the fairness doctrine made former democratic operatives who had used it under the Kennedy administration start realizing, Oh, wait, if we use these rules as weapons, then, oh, that's right. We're not going to be in office forever. The other guys get a turn too. They get to use these tools against us. And so that's actually why some of these documents exist is because they started to have regrets about their involvement in their earlier campaign. So yeah, red lion, it was ultimately validated one of the most successful censorship campaigns in US history.
