Pence can't be seen as voluntarily complying with just the department's investigation here, unless he angers some of that very conservative base. I think part of that is politics and optics that obviously Mike Pence is going to run for president. How long will it take for a fight like this to play out in the courts? There will be appeals. It might go to the Supreme Court.
