The Importance of Champing at the Bit
The common saying that is used incorrectly is chomping at the bit. It originates from the action of a horse clamping down on their bit repeatedly and restless when they are getting ready to race, run, etc. You can use it to sound like a magnanimous cunt when correcting someone to inflate your delegate, delegate ego or not be a c**p.
