The bone term has tailed. The last time I had seen Jared, I grabbed some tissues from the desk before using them to pick up the book. Even then I felt my skin crawl as I held it. It rained heavily that night. My room is in a converted attic and when the weather is bad, it's as if I can hear every rain drop against the window that is just above my bed. What if Ruth came in earlier than I did tomorrow and took it? What would happen to her? Should I have destroyed it? That last thought was quickly pushed away.I wasn't sure I had it in me to destroy a book, even one with such a strangeness
